Assembly – Joining the Tracks

First, sew the 6 wheels (or buttons) onto the two caterpillar tracks using the thin cotton yarn.

Place the first caterpillar onto the body piece. Work an edge around them together using the Crab Stitch (reverse single crochet). Work 38 SC in the reverse direction to join the side.

Turn the body inside out and work 10 SC from the inside, crocheting through both loops of the body ends to close the ring. Alternatively, you can sew this seam shut. The seam will be hidden inside.

Attach the second caterpillar to the opposite side of the body using the crab stitch. Important: Before finishing the round, stuff the body with fiberfill.
