Exhaust Nozzle
- Attach the fire piece to the bottom of the rocket body. Use the body color yarn to work 24 sc, catching the stitches of the second row of the rocket body and the top of the fire. (24)
- Round 2: (inc, 2 sc) × 8 (32)
- Rounds 3-4: 32 sc (32)
- Round 5: (inc, 3 sc) × 8 (40)
- Fasten off with a sl st and hide the yarn tail.

Wings (Make 3)
Each wing consists of two triangles crocheted together to make it sturdy. Work in turning rows.
- 3 sc in MR. Do not join into a circle. (3)
- ch 1, turn. inc, 1 sc, inc (6)
- ch 3, turn. 3 sc in the 1st stitch, 5 sc (9)
- ch 1, turn. inc, 7 sc, inc (12)
- ch 3, turn. 3 sc in the 1st stitch, 11 sc (15)
- ch 1, turn. inc, 13 sc, inc (18)
- ch 3, turn. 3 sc in the 1st stitch, 17 sc (21). Fasten off.

Joining the wings: Crochet a second identical wing piece, but do not cut the yarn. Place the two pieces together and sc around the two long sides, catching stitches from both pieces. At the sharp top tip, work 4 sc in 1 stitch. At the other two tips, work 3 sc in 1 stitch. Crochet the short sides separately. Repeat this for all 3 wings.

Decorative Rings
Small Ring
Use the same color as the rocket nose.
- 28 ch, join into a ring. (28)
- 28 sc
- (inc, 6 sc) × 4 (32)
- 32 sc (32). Fasten off.
Large Ring
Use the same color as the wings.
- 32 ch, join into a ring. (32)
- Rounds 2-4: 32 sc (32)
- Round 5: (inc, 7 sc) × 4 (36)
- Rounds 6-8: 36 sc (36)
- Round 9: (inc, 8 sc) × 4 (40)
- Rounds 10-11: 40 sc (40). Fasten off.

Assembly
- Sew the 3 wings to the Large Ring at equal distances. Sew through both loops of the short side of the wings.
- Slide both rings onto the rocket body.
- Secure the rings to the body using a “back stitch” with body-colored thread. Leave a gap of one stitch between your sewing stitches to mimic the look of rivets on a metal casing.
